Croeso i Ysgol Sant Pedr!

Click to watch our welcome video featuring some of ‘Cyngor Ysgol’ (School Council) members who will tell you all about their school:

Welcome – Croeso!

It is my honour and privilege to be the headteacher at our wonderful school. St. Peter’s is an amazing school full of engaging and inspiring spaces for our pupils to learn and grow.

Our pupils are at the heart of everything that we do, and we pride ourselves on our caring, inclusive and supportive school family. I am truly blessed to work with the most amazing, conscientious, and hard-working team of staff who all take pride in our school and give 100% each and every day to ensure that all pupils in our school family are happy, cared for, and are making great progress with their learning.

As a church school, Christian values underpin all of our work and provide a strong foundation which enables our pupils to develop resilience and empathy and link to our three rules: ‘Listen’, ‘Respect’ and ‘Persevere’ which we use to guide our pupils on their learning journey as they progress through our school from their first day in Nursery to their final day in Year 6.

Our school has around 200 pupils and we offer wrap-around care from 7.45am-5.30pm every day. This provision is run by our fantastic Playscheme staff. As well as this, we offer free ‘Breakfast Club’ every day in our spacious school hall from 8.30 am – no need to book! Also, since April 2025, I am also pleased to share that we are able to offer Funded Early Education places too!

Over the course of the school year, we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities including: two choirs – one for Reception to Year 2 and one for Year 3 to Year 6 – Lego Club, football, cricket and French club to name a few! We are also fiercely proud of our Welsh culture and heritage and promote the Welsh language throughout our curriculum. We currently compete in the ‘Urdd’ Eisteddfod and have enjoyed success at local and national level over the past few years.

If you are interested in visiting our school and learning more about us, I would be delighted to take you for a walk around our extensive school grounds and show you our indoor and outdoor learning environments ‘in action’. To arrange a visit please either telephone the school on 01244 570 594 or email mailbox@stpeters-pri.wrexham.sch.uk.

Cofion Gynnes

Warm Regards

Mr Matthew Roberts (BA Hons., PGCE, NPQH)

Headteacher
